  1. The Kawasaki dealership in Columbia had a customer back out on a brand new 2018 ZX10R SE version - 2018 Ninja ZX10R SE You know what it is, what the retail price is ($21,899.00), $18K out the door is a screaming deal IMO. The $18K includes the $1500 savings from Kawasaki, there is no more wiggle room, or so I was told. YC Powersports at 573-875-4445 and probably talk to Chris Wright, he is the General Manager They still have one or two of the Duke 690's, brand new old stock, for $5K out the door as well.
  2. Grass in the road - I feel that we can all agree that it is rude and inconsiderate to blow it in the road, but is it really a danger to motorcyclist?
  3. Excellent information and you are correct that some dealerships may need to be educated. These claims are filed via the normal warranty claim system, they just have to check a different little box.
  4. Several years ago I met Rich Chase, and when I had the chance, I went to see this collection of motorcycles he said he had. I've known plenty of motorcycle collectors over the years, and I'm sure most of us have more than a few. My 1st trip up was enlightening, as it took everything to a new level. Here is a video of the earlier collection - Recently Rich sent out a video of the "museum" and the collection as it is now - And it's all down a gravel road in Iowa..... Not bad, eh?
  5. Buy it from me. Ride it home from Columbia. Let Terry be the only mechanic to ever touch it.
  6. What did it say? I just checked the box. Don't really have a choice if you want to enter the forum, so hey, what the hey!

I've order up a set of Avon Spirit ST's for my FJ1200 - A set of few tires available in the correct size/speed rating. Spirit - might be time to name my bike - Dr. Sardonicus And yes, I know this was a "dead thread" "It's back"

Thrashed Grom, I'd pay $500, no more.......
  9. I like cheap and know what to expect. Liability only here, $125/year for the FJ1200. Full coverage on a new 2018 Kawasaki Z900RS would be $650/year I'm not buying one, just checking - really seriously
  10. WIth the changes in government, we may once again get "modern" two-strokes.
  11. We all know what's going to happen, many of of have seen it happen to local newspapers/radio/TV stations - We're going to see and hear what they want us too, not what is necessarily what is true or honest or with/without a hidden agenda. The sheep will remain sheep, just as it always was, just as it always was.........
  12. The 1st wave of Z900RS are set to ship to the dealers - expect them soon, very soon. Kawasaki released the setup instructions on their dealer site today. Can't wait!
  13. 1989 FJ1200 - some pics? OK! From last weekend, in good company:
  14. Our local dealer is considering a private unveiling and assembly of the 1st Z900RS they receive. If so, I'll be there!
  15. You will never see a officer on a Harley in any type of high speed pursuit, that's a fact! Hahahahahahahaha, made myself laugh!
  16. I should of said "new to the USA", it's been out in other global markets for a long time..... Harley's are horrible police bikes. Great parade bikes. The high speed handling characteristics of the Harley police bikes is known to be slightly better than a cracked brick....... Harley does offer huge discounts and other perks to police departments, that's the main reason so many of them are out there. It's OK, it really is.....
  17. Looks like there is another option to the Harley police motorcycle -
  18. Check the Kawasaki web site tomorrow (December 1st) at 9:00AM CST for full details on all the new 2018 Kawasaki's
  19. Spoke to a fellow who rode the Z900RS last week in California. Everything he said was excellent. The US will only have one version, two colors and it will be in limited quantities. Unofficially, of course, until December 1st, when the formal introduction is made in New York - Ah, "New York Steak", I remember now why......
  20. Hey hey hey - that's what keeps those parts sellers in business! LOL Just this past week we repaired a customer's machine, and he ended up paying "the stupid tax". Personally, I think he got off cheap, $400.00. He brought in his machine with a no-start no run condition. The technician hooked the machine up to the computer and followed the manufacturer's diagnostic process to the letter. Ultimately we found the customer had poorly wired in a set of LED lights and the resulting incompetence resulted in water entering his fuse box, destroying multiple jcase fuses and possibly long term damage to the fuse box itself. When I called the customer, he told me that he was an expert HVAC technician and that we should've checked the fuse box 1st thing - To which I replied "Yes, you probably should have". I see too many good motorcycles destroyed with good intent. Always have, always will.......
