crash 10,044 Report post Posted March 21, 2017 Is that on the ZX10? Yeah, mine runs through rear tires quickly as well. At least the last few S21s went quickly. Maybe I should go back to the Q3s but I think hey were going quickly as well. Probably related to the HP how hard we twist the throttle.
Speed 3,310 Report post Posted March 21, 2017 Yes, on the ZX10. The GSXR was bad but not this bad. I usually squeezed out 2500-2800 miles from the Pirellis... on some trips I did only get 1500-2000 miles but I don't think I pushed this one as much (still scares me ) You're probably right about the HP. May be touring tires next time. LOL. EDIT: The upside of the current tires is that the handling really did not change with degradation like the Pirellis. I do need to go through what I have then may be go back to what is on it now.
jjester 2,059 Report post Posted March 29, 2017 Not really a tire deal but, I just ordered a set of Pirelli Angel GT for the GSX-S. They are going to cost $289.97 from Jake Wilson shipped to the door. Going to be my first set of Pirelli's since 2009 ish.

reed12b 872 Report post Posted March 29, 2017 This is a little off topic, but it is tire related. They just announced that a new Q3+ will be available in May. Claims to last longer than the current tire on both street and track.

Should've waited a week, they're now offering a $40 rebate on Pirelli Angel GT's (among other models). https://www.jakewilson.com/l/2017-Pirelli-April-May-Rebate-Info I've had the Angel GT on the rear for a month or so now and ordering the front today. mangosmoothie 1,819 Report post Posted April 26, 2017 I posted in shout but metzeler has a $40 rebate going. I went with the Sportec M7RR for Speedy. $200 a set after the rebate, supposedly better life and behavior than Q3's. Figured they're worth a shot. The racetec k3 is supposed to be very similar to a super corsa. The new roadtec 01 are supposedly comparable to the Pilot Road 4's. It's been said they have a bit more dry and wet grip, slightly worse wet braking. There's also a racetec RR, which may or may not also be like a super corsa. I believe it's replacing the K3. Those are all eligible.
crash 10,044 Report post Posted July 5, 2017 Just ordered 2 more sets of S21s from Jake Wilson based on y'alls recommendations. That was my first order through them. They were cheaper than the other two places I usually go to.

crash 10,044 Report post Posted July 5, 2017 I do like the S21. I have no idea how many miles I get out of them. About as many as I get out of any other tire..... which is not many.
crash 10,044 Report post Posted July 5, 2017 And I just ran into my first possible issue with Jake Wilson. I ordered and payed for 2 fronts and 2 rears and I just got an email that they shipped 2 fronts and 1 rear.
crash 10,044 Report post Posted July 5, 2017 And as soon as I type that I get another email with an updated shipping notice with the complete order.

natnaz 618 Report post Posted July 12, 2017 Well i have ordered the S21's for my fj 09.i have only 2000 miles on the rear and it's time for a new one.I wanted to order my tires and a helmet through JW. But they don't have the helmet i want (size and color). End up ordering through Revzilla. At first their price for a set of tires were $60.00 higher. Called them back and they do price match. I rather get my parts through smaller vendors to keep the retail prices fair.
Rhoms15 186 Report post Posted July 17, 2017 Just saw cyclegear is running an in-store special for Bridgestone S21's. Front and rear for $229 before mail-in rebate($50 on a visa gift card, total: $179). Need new rubber on my Suzuki, so I may jump on it this week. I was planning on going with Q3's but the price on these Bridgestones is making me rethink it
