nihil 14 Report post Posted January 13, 2019 Hi, my name is nihil, and I'm an addict. I got my first taste of motorized two wheeled transportation a little over 30 years ago, and have been involved in an on-again/off-again relationship with it ever since. I have sinned in the form of everything from lawnmower powered minibikes to large displacement cruiser/drag bikes, and many things in between. My current relapse has me astride a TW200 as the streetable/daily, and occasionally a vintage KX125. I found this site by way of casual mention at a gas station. I'm not entirely sure he was talking about this particular forum, but this did show up as the first result for "St. Louis motorcycle forum" on the mighty Googles, and I'll sign up for almost anything if it involves turning dollars into torques or carbon byproducts. 1

dogpark 3,797 Report post Posted January 14, 2019 Welcome. What kind of riding do you like to do?
nihil 14 Report post Posted January 14, 2019 Thanks for the welcomes. I don't take a lot of pics, but here are the current two wheeled members of the fleet. Nothing too impressive, but I will say, after owning a dozen or so bikes, most bigger and faster, it's hard to beat a little TW for a fun/purity of riding factor. It's just a happy little place to be, even if you do get made fun of by the chopper gangs. As for what kind of riding I like to do, I'm down for pretty much anything. Highway is out until something larger sneaks into the garage, but I prefer back roads anyway. My usual outings are just an hour or two, backroads up and down the Meramec, with the occasional veer off into some woods or dirt if the situation presents itself. 1
dogpark 3,797 Report post Posted January 14, 2019 There's not a lot of off road going on here these days. Mostly long day trips on back roads, but there is some other stuff to. Hopefully some other folks can help you out with some ideas. My current "beast"
nihil 14 Report post Posted January 14, 2019 Nice. I used "just something slow to putz around on" as my excuse for the TW, and I keep telling myself I'm done with larger and faster, but I've been eyeballing DR650's, and I'm kinda antsy for the Tenere700 to come out: https://www.yamahamotorsports.com/adventure-touring/models/tenere-700 I'm not exactly a small gent so something larger makes sense, but I don't want to lose any of the small bike fun. nihil 14 Report post Posted January 16, 2019 Danke danke. Since you guys like pics, and videos are just a bunch of those lined up, here's some fodder. I literally almost died and can't even. Death from above. Construction workers laid a booby trap. 2

nihil 14 Report post Posted January 18, 2019 Right on. I still need to get the bike put back together and let my ankle heal up (broke it on the drop in that video above), but I'm definitely down for a ride.
OhNoItsBonnie! 736 Report post Posted March 5, 2019 Love the TW200 join me and the freak and whoever else for a some milld dual sporting this year. Youll be a little more versatile than our ds scooters, but we're sure to have some fun nevertheless 🛵
nihil 14 Report post Posted March 8, 2019 Dunno about more versatile, but I'll definitely be slower than most everything else. Got the new bars on finally. Still need to get the Barkbusters mounted, controls adjusted, and figure out what I'm going to do about mirrors.
