MaximumJEFF 379 Report post Posted April 4, 2014 Thanks to a suggestion from a member, we have added a new option for Track Day Virgins. Track Experience will allow first timers to "test the waters" of track riding. Riders registered for Track Experience will participate in the first two sessions of Novice. They must adhere to Novice rules and tech requirements. There is no cost. And, Track Experience riders will have the option to purchase the whole day after their free sessions. Limited to three riders per day. Thank you for your continued support. Jeff

Morbo 1,568 Report post Posted April 11, 2014 Stupid question, but is this different than the "try the track" sessions? From what I recall those weren't actual racing as much as just an escorted session with looser restrictions on tech requirements. (Or I'm a dumbass and misremembering everything altogether)
Road_Runner 3,005 Report post Posted April 11, 2014 Not the same but I'll let Jeff explain. You may want to PM him for a faster answer. Jeff is the guy in the first post and its his track day!

Think fast parade laps. In Track Experience, riders will participate in two actual track sessions. They'll really be able to see what a track day is all about. And, will receive on and off track coaching like any other rider. For Free

Morbo 1,568 Report post Posted April 12, 2014 Very cool. I'm interested, are the tech requirements available online? Curious how much I'd have to do to meet requirements.... safety wire, tape off lights, etc. Thanks for providing details.

Curious how much I'd have to do to meet requirements.... safety wire, tape off lights, etc. Thanks for providing details. Thanks for asking for Details! Novice/Track Experience tech is pretty easy. Basically just taping over your lights and having a bike that's not rolling on shagged tires and leaking fluids. http://www.midwesttrackday.com/gear-requirements http://www.midwesttrackday.com/motorcycle-requirements
