Beta

Recommended Posts

I don't much get in this forum but thought some of you might be interested. I was down at Donelsons talking to Carl and he asked me to hang around and watch this Demo. I don't know why he asked me... Anyway here is a new bike he is considering handleing. I even rode the 300... Been a long time since I was on a dirt bike. hmmmmmm

The Manfacturer Rep was quite a salesman. There are all kinds of options/upgrades to suspension etc... you can do. He talked about all the upgrades and how Beta has been a Trials bike manufacturer for years. The other guys who rode the 300 stated they were amazed at the power over their Yamaha's... So for those wanting to consider an Itailian dirt bike...

Here ya go http://www.betausa.com/ and maybe soon you will have dealer support.

If I was to get one of course I would get this model:

Beta used to use KTM engines but now they are running their own engines and they do have 2 and 4 stroke (2 stroke for me of course).

It's so sad that a little European country can have have so many cool motorcycle manufacturers. In fact there are a lot of little European companies that have several motorcycle manufactures and how many (good ones) do we have in the US?

My first trials bike was a Beta and it was a well built machine. It was an older model so it was a bit heavier so when I got good at trials riding I bought a new Scorpa (2001) and I loved that bike! The Beta held it's resale value and I didn't lose any money on it.

Am I seeing that right a 2 stroke off road model and a 4 stroke on road legal duo-sport? Kinda cool.

Yeah, I have buddies who have plates on their KTM and GasGas 2-strokes. Heck, I think SpeedDMD even plated Chris's old Kawasaki KDX 200.

Nice mayhaps it was a Colorado thing not being able to tag 2 stroke over 50cc initially I know there were peeps who did it but they were tagged outside Colorado first.

I never understood it... they don't do all that inspection thing on bikes there... so either it is either a streetable bike or it is not...

To me 2 strokes are so easy to work on it is insane, they do wear quickly but keep good oil in it and good proper plugs and clean air filter they will run forever with maintenance which I don't mind at all.
